Thank-you. I liked the format. It was convenient and easily accessible. Sharing ideas was interesting! I would like to have an option to download documents, if that is possible, that blog members could access. I hope this will be the format for future professional development through Cherokee County Schools.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for providing this experience! I learned so much about blogging and the book! I welcomed this opportunity to communicate with fellow professionals without attending a workshop. I created a blog for us to use as a PLC here at our school. I would like to see a blog for other professional books.
ReplyDeleteThis is an awesome format for staff development. It forces you to think and also to see how others apply their knowledge to a particular topic. I have learned so much from this and from Marzano. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much for allowing me this experience as well. I truly enjoyed it and would like to do it again someday! Thanks again.

ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the opportunity to blog with my colleagues as well. I really enjoyed the format for staff development. It made life easier trying to manage work, mom duties and life. Thank you for allowing us to do staff development online. I hope that there will be more.
ReplyDeleteI do not know much about blogs. I do however love good rhyming poetry and thought I'd share one that I learned when I was in the 4th grade. Hope you all enjoy it as much as I do. Feel free to send me poems - wmknapp55@gmail.com

EQUIPMENT
by Edgar A. Guest
Figure it out for yourself, my lad,
You've all that the greatest of men have had,
Two arms, two hands, two legs, two eyes
And a brain to use if you would be wise.
With this equipment they all began,
So start for the top and say, "I can."
Look them over, the wise and great
They take their food from a common plate,
And similar knives and forks they use,
With similar laces they tie their shoes.
The world considers them brave and smart,
But you've all they had when they made their start.
You can triumph and come to skill,
You can be great if you only will.
You're well equipped for what fight you choose,
You have legs and arms and a brain to use,
And the man who has risen great deeds to do
Began his life with no more than you.
You are the handicap you must face,
You are the one who must choose your place,
You must say where you want to go,
How much you will study the truth to know.
God has equipped you for life, but He
Lets you decide what you want to be.
Courage must come from the soul within,
The man must furnish the will to win.
So figure it out for yourself, my lad.
You were born with all that the great have had,
With your equipment they all began,
Get hold of yourself and say: "I can."
